Lunch with Kvinneforening and a talk by Miss Sarah Mahaffy

We are invited to lunch with the Norwegian Church’s Ladies’ Circle (Kvinneforening), thanks to our member Mrs Solveig Wilson. For the occasion, another of our members Miss Sarah Mahaffy will give an illustrated talk about her grandparents, Sir George Ponsonby and Elisa Broch, who served Queen Maud of Norway as Private Secretary and Lady-in-Waiting.

Sarah will also touch on Sir George’s later role as Equerry to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and introduce her family book, Maud and Victoria (named after her aunt and mother).
