The Anglo-Norse Society mourns HM King Harald V of Norway

The Anglo-Norse Society is saddened to learn of the death of its Patron, HM King Harald V of Norway. Our thoughts are with Queen Sonja, King Haakon VIII and Queen Mette-Marit, and the whole Norwegian Royal Family, to whom we extend our sincerest condolences.

We were honoured by His Majesty’s presence at the Anglo-Norse Society’s Centenary in 2018, together with HM Queen Elizabeth II. Several news and media outlets have today included footage from that memorable occasion in their coverage of His Majesty’s death.
